"Hey Puny Parker!"
Peter staggered as a football was thrown at the side of his head.
Onlookers laughed as he dropped his back, books scattering and his camera tumbling out.
He frowned and pretended nothing was there as he began to gather his things back together. "If I could just be Spider-Man for once right now, I'd so show everyone who's boss." He picked up his bag again, only to have it slapped out of his hand again.
"Hey, Parker!" a cocky blonde football jock poked, "It's locker-knocker time!"
"Back off, Flash." Peter warned, "I'm not in the mood today. Not enough sleep last night."
"Aw... Puny Parker had nightmares last night?" Flash mock-crooned.
"If only you knew..." Peter thought, "Spider-Man had to wake up in the middle of the night and chase down THREE burglaries! One guy had a chainsaw and man did he know how to use it!"
Peter blinked and was brought back to his senses as Flash gave him a hard shove.
"Hey, I'm talking to you!" Flash was frowning.
Peter stared blankly, "Uh... You were?" he asked stupidly.
The gathered crowd burst into laughter, drowning out the rumble of a streetbike parking beside the fence.
Flash growled and shoved him again.
This time, Peter fell flat on his butt. He frowned and rubbed it sorely. "Man... Secret Identities stink."
Flash picked him up by the shirt front and set him on his feet before wrapping his large arm around Peter's neck in a headlock. "How would you do for a hard noogie before your locker knock-"
The loud thwack of a helmet being forcefully set onto an outdoor table caught everyone's attention.
Standing with her hand firmly placed on the shiny black helmet was someone that Peter had never seen before.
She had short white hair and only one earring in her right ear. She lacked color in her plain, leather attire and overall resembled the average brim-goth.
Some of the crowd looked at the new girl and mumbled among themselves.
Flash looked at her for a second before grinning. "Hey, new girl! Catch!" he tossed Peter's camera at her.
She caught it effortlessly, not even taking an eye off of him.
Everyone was quiet as nothing happened.
Flash rolled his eyes and dropped Peter as he walked toward her. "Hey, grey-eyes. Are you dumb? You're supposed to take a pictu-"
BAM!
With lightning fast movements, she pulled back her fist and punched Flash right in the side of his face.
The force was strong enough to send Flash sprawling onto his back.
Everyone stared in complete, utter shock. Including Flash and Peter.
"She just gave Flash a hard right hook! All for my defense!" Peter thought to himself, "Man... As much as I like seeing someone knocking Flash into place, something tells me I'm going to be the laughing stock for this week... or longer. Just because the new girl played the role as my 'bodyguard'."
"Grow yourself a backbone, kid. I aint nobody's bodyguard."
Peter stiffened as he realized that the new girl was talking directly to him. "Did... she just read my mind!?... Nah, it's probably just a coincidence."
Her facial expression never changed. "Pull yourself together. As much as I hate butt-faced jerks, I don't really have a liking for wimps either." she stated, "Start standing up for yourself or else things are gonna get a lot worse from here on end. Comprende?"
"Uh..." was all that Peter could say.
"Miss Fowler!"
Everyone looked to the doors, seeing the vice principle standing there, arms crossed and foot tapping.
He was not happy.
Peter returned his attention to the new girl.
She was unfazed by the situation, but looked nonchalantly at the VP.
He glared at her and pointed to the doors behind him. "To the office. NOW."
Without a word, the new girl began walking to the door, not even making eye contact with anyone. It wasn't out of shame, but more of not showing weakness.
Even after she and the VP were inside, everyone remained awed and quiet. The school bell snapped them back to reality and they scurried off to class as if the whole incident never happened.
Peter glanced at Flash.
A nice, scarlet bruise was starting to form beside his cheekbone. He was still frazzled, but tried to keep his cool as he glared at Peter. "This- This aint over, Puny Parker..." he hurried off inside.
Peter couldn't help but to smile with satisfaction.

"Tina Fowler" and the story belong to Me.
"Spectacular Spider-man 'everything else'" belong to Stan Lee and Steve Ditko
